The Mosby Heritage Area Association, the Virginia Piedmont preservation and education organization, has issued a Request for Proposals, seeking to contract a preservation or cultural resource management firm to create a preservation plan for the Civil War Cavalry Battles of Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville.
In August 2012, The Mosby Heritage Area Association announced that it received a grant from the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP) to fund a community-based preservation plan for the Civil War Cavalry Battles of Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville. The preservation plan will focus on the three cavalry battles at Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville, where General J.E.B.
