In celebration of the Round Hill Hometown Festival, the third annual A Taste of the Vine will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Old Furniture Factory to benefit Genesis International and the Afghan Women’s Fund.
Located at 6 West Loudoun Street in Round Hill, the wine tasting, sponsored by Round Hill Design Studio, will feature wines from Bluemont Vineyards, Crushed Cellars and Twin Oaks Tavern. New this year will be pottery demonstrations and sales by students and instructors of The Old Furniture Factory Pottery Studio. In addition, Afghan art, fabric, carpets and jewelry as well as African tribal art will be on exhibit. All proceeds benefit Genesis International (501C3), a non-profit organization supporting the education, health and nutrition programs of preschool orphans and vulnerable children in Malawi and the Afghan Women’s Fund (501C3) supporting women’s education, girl’s schools, and educational supplies in six Afghan provinces.
Tickets for the event are $12 and include live music, wine tasting and commemorative wine glass.
