“FIRST YOU START WITH A BIG PIECE OF PAPER…”
Regional artists and craftspeople in all media are invited to participate in "First You Start with a Big Piece of Paper…", a juried creative challenge exhibition sponsored by Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center. "First You Start with a Big Piece of Paper…" will feature creative works that incorporate a large piece of brown Kraft paper. Any and all media is eligible and encouraged. The only condition is that artists must use at least 72 by 30 inches worth of brown Kraft paper along with any other materials they wish in their piece. A cash prize of $250.00 will be awarded for the Most Innovative Work; the Friends Choice will receive a non-cash prize. Challenge pieces may be submitted to Franklin Park Arts Center on July 2 and 3 and by appointment on July 5. "First You Start with a Big Piece of Paper…" will be on display in the Gallery at Franklin Park Arts Center from July 9-August 5, 2012. The public is invited to a reception for participants on July 14th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
