Educational Coyote Seminar
The Humane Society of the United States will lead an educational seminar about coyotes for the residents of Loudoun County., hosted by the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.
Lynsey White Dasher, urban wildlife specialist for The HSUS will describe the natural history of the coyote, explain why hunting and trapping have been unsuccessful in controlling their populations and how to compassionately coexist with them in our cities, suburbs and everywhere in between.
The seminar will also feature techniques for preventing and solving conflicts with coyotes in Loudoun County, including tips for protecting pets, reducing coyote attractants in yards and neighborhoods and hazing bold coyotes. Coyote hazing helps restore the fear of humans back into habituated coyotes.
