Inova Loudoun Hospital Offering Ask the Expert Lecture ~ Current Screening and Treatment Recommendations for Prostate Cancer
As part of its free “Ask the Expert” lecture series, Inova Loudoun Hospital will host “Current Screening and Treatment Recommendations for Prostate Cancer” on Tuesday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m.
Each year one in six men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Most of these cancers will progress slowly but some types grow and spread quickly. The seminar will help attendees understand risks and provide the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options available. Dr. Gregory Schenk, Medical Director of the Inova Loudoun Hospital Robotic Surgery Program, will provide information on the known benefits of minimally invasive surgery compared with traditional open surgery. Treatment options also include radiation therapy and hormone therapy.
