Parker Helble, a senior at James Madison University, presented research this week at the Energy and Sustainability Conference in Richmond.
Helble, an engineering major, was part of a team that presented on converting locally generated waste cooking oil to biodiesel.
The Energy and Sustainability Conference brings together national leaders from various businesses and market sectors to discuss how sustainability is changing and influencing the future of organizations and businesses. Sessions focused on market sectors in manufacturing, healthcare, local and state government, higher education and commercial real estate.
The conference was held Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and was hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University.
