Route 7 Westbound Lane Closures at River Creek Parkway on May 31

The right through lane and the beginning of the right exit lane of westbound Route 7 at River Creek Parkway will be closed Wednesday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for slope repairs, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Westbound Route 7 traffic will still be able to exit onto River Creek Parkway during the work, which is weather permitting. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.

PGA of America, Lexmark and Loudoun Students Plant New Park Trees

Lexmark International, Inc., the corporation that supplied printed materials for the 2017 Senior PGA Championship being held in Loudoun County this week, provided a donation to the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services for new trees. The trees were planted with help from Riverbend Middle School students, PRCS staff and representatives of Lexmark and The PGA of America on Monday, May 23, at Potomack Lakes Sportsplex in Sterling. Algonkian District Supervisor Suzanne M. Volpe also attended the event.
